I will be recording my next solo piano CD at Abbey Road Studios in London. Specifically Studio 2 - where The Beatles recorded their hits.
In addition to recording my own songs, I have the opportunity to record a couple of The Beatles' songs too. The question is, which ones to record? There are so many!
The Beatles recorded hundreds of songs during their career. The group's "main catalog"—songs released between 1962 and 1970—consists of 213 songs (four of which exist in different versions): 188 originals and 25 covers. Since their break-up, over 100 more songs have been officially released, including live songs the group never recorded in the studio and numerous outtakes.
With so many songs, I am at a loss. If you were going to record at Abbey Road - which songs would you record? Reach out with your ideas.
Regardless of which one, this will be a goosebump moment for sure!
